The adult choir at Kidron Mennonite Church will present I Hear the Prophet Callin in a Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. The service will be approximately one hour in length and will include narration from key scriptures used during the season. Composer, Pepper Choplin, known for his refreshingly different, original anthems, wrote the words and music of this cantata.
Marilyn Rossiter, minister of music at Kidron, will direct the choir. His Christmas cantata has traditional folk-style qualities and features a variety of instruments including flute, clarinet, autoharp, hammer dulcimer and percussion. The church extends an open invitation to anyone in the area who is looking for a way to remember the true meaning of the season.
