Did you know 53 million tons of clothing are incinerated or go to landfills every year? There’s a more sustainable way to shop — the clothing swap on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at the UUFWC, 3186 Burbank Road, Wooster. It’s a chance to swap out your gently used clothes for ones that are new to you.

How does it work? Drop off your clean and gently used clothes on April 26 from 4-6 p.m. or April 27 from 8-9 a.m. For each accepted clothing item, you’ll receive one ticket, which can be used during the swap to purchase a new-to-you item. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Admission is $5 per person. Children age 12 and younger are free. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothes are welcome but no shoes, under garments or accessories.

Any items left at the end of the swap will be donated to Goodwill and other area agencies. Proceeds support the work of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. For swap FAQs, visit www.uufwc.org.
