Eight Days of Hope chicken barbecue in Sugarcreek

Eight Days of Hope, a Christian organization, began as a onetime mission trip to the Gulf Coast and has now blossomed into much more. With six trips successfully completed, Eight Days of Hope, a supported mission of NewPointe Community Church, is now committed to making annual trips to damaged regions to work with local people to respond to the natural disasters. To help raise awareness and funds for an upcoming trip, a group from NewPointe and Eight Days of Hope will sponsor a chicken barbecue on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., until the chicken is all gone, in the parking lot of the Sugarlane IGA, in Sugarcreek. All proceeds will directly benefit Eight Days of Hope. Presale orders can be taken by contacting Butch Price at 330-324-0241. To get involved directly with Eight Days of Hope, through volunteering or donating money or supplies, or for more information about this organization, visit www.eightdaysofhope.com. NewPointe Community Church is located at 3950 SR 39, Dover. For more information, visit www.newpointe.org.
