The First Moravian Church of Dover will present Handbells Columbus in two performances Sunday, April 25. The bell choir will participate in the morning 10:30 a.m. worship service and present a full concert at 3:30 p.m., in the church sanctuary. The morning worship service will be a celebration of the depth and breadth of Moravian music in worship through the use of Moravian hymnody and choral anthems. The bell choir will play two pieces during the service.

At the 3:30 p.m. afternoon concert, Handbells Columbus will present classical, sacred and secular musical selections. This outstanding community handbell choir is from the Columbus area and presents a varied concert program. The group is comprised of auditioned and invited ringers, who play with great technical skill, enthusiasm and sensitivity on a six and 1/2 octave set of Malmark Handbells and five octaves of Malmark Handchimes. The concert will also include several selections accompanied by G. Randall Gibbs at the Reeves Memorial Organ.

The 14-member group is under the direction of Jennifer Fry and Dave Kerr.

First Moravian Church is located at 319 North Walnut St., Dover. A free will offering will be taken and a fellowship hour will follow the concert in the social hall.
