NewPointe to host Night to Shine
Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment.
NewPointe Community Church’s Dover campus announced they will serve as one of more than 350 churches around the world that will host Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, on Friday, Feb. 9 from 6-9 p.m.
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom-night experience for people with special needs age 14 and older. This worldwide movement is set to take place in all 50 states and 10 countries around the world. The numbers continue to grow.
Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment including hair and makeup stations, shoe-shining areas, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, prom favors for each honored guest, and a dance floor, all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom.
“Night to Shine is an incredible event that showcases God’s love for all people. This is going to be an inspirational evening,” said Micah Hasty, Dover campus associate pastor. “God’s call to love all people as he loves us shines through in events like Night to Shine. We are honored to partner with the Tim Tebow Foundation to host this amazing event.”
There is no requirement for formal attire. Registered guests will receive a discount code to Men’s Warehouse, and there will be a special prom dress boutique and fitting for any ladies in need of a dress. Additionally registered guests will receive a special offer on tuxedo rentals at the local Crete Clothing Fashions for Men, 130 W. High St. in downtown New Philadelphia.

You do not need to attend NewPointe Community Church or be a resident of Tuscarawas County to be a Night to Shine guest or volunteer. Volunteers must be age 16 or older. Registration is required for both guests and volunteers.
