On the second Saturday of every month, Faith Christian Church will host a special service geared specifically for those age18-30. Ekklesia is designed to be an authentic community for college students, singles and young married couples to meet and worship together.
Ekklesia was created to fill a need we saw in Tuscarawas County for a service uniquely fitted to this age group, said Nathan Downs, youth minister at Faith Christian Church and host of Ekklesia. This can be an awkward time for students and young people in terms of finding a place in church. Ekklesia helps individuals find that place and meet other people in similar walks in life.
