Parent Summit focuses on opportunities

NewPointe Community Church will host The Parent Summit on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at its Dover campus.
Attendees will learn about passing on the faith, dealing properly with technology, maintaining sexual integrity and establishing healthy habits for life.
The Parent Summit is for parents, grandparents, caregivers, school teachers and anyone who is connected to a child.
The Parent Summit also will provide resources one can use throughout the phases of a child’s life, whether the child is a toddler, an elementary-age kid, a middle-schooler or a high-schooler.
Carlos Whittaker is the guest speaker at this Parent Summit. He is a People's Choice award winner, a former recording artist and a social media maven, and he currently spends the majority of his time writing books and speaking on stages around the world. He is an active part of Orange, an organization that engages churches and families to influence the next generation, and is most known for his role in the Parent Cue Podcast.
Whittaker will talk about parenting, faith, technology, sexual integrity and healthy habits. He also will have books for sale that he will sign after the event.
