The Town and Country 4-H Club met March 27 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia. Members voted to sponsor four plaques for first place winners in miscellaneous and family and consumer science project judging. For the club’s community service project, members will volunteer four nights at the Greater Dover-New Philadelphia food pantry. Jhett McDonald and Mathew Cardani described the club’s trip to Fort Rapids indoor water park. Members received the order forms for the club’s flower and vegetable plant fundraiser. Club calendars also were passed out. It was announced that Abby Bichsel and Clarissa Mutti were chosen for the Jr. Fair Board and Liz Beller was chosen as a camp counselor. Four members did their project demonstrations. Jhett McDonald spoke about three different types of goats and how they are used in different countries. Mikayla Horn described how to properly feed a cow. Mathew Cardani’s presentation was on how to properly take care of a sow. Different styles of milking parlors were illustrated by Alyssa Lautzenheiser. 0x54db8a40Submitted by Seth Parker
