Holmes County 4-H Shooting Sports Club holds April meeting
The Holmes County 4-H Shooting Sports Club met Saturday, April 12, at the Eastern Holmes Sportsman’s Club.
The meeting was opened by Vice President Braxton Tish. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by JC Baker, and the 4-H pledge was led by Lelynd Eden. Secretary Lucas Bailey read the minutes from the previous meeting, and Treasurer JC Baker gave the treasurer’s report.
Project books have been ordered, and the list of 2025 club officers has been submitted to the OSU Extension Office. Members also discussed community service projects for the upcoming year.
Recreation was led by Recreation Officer Lucas Bailey. A health tip was shared by Health Officer Braxton Tish, and a safety tip was presented by Safety Officer JC Baker. Braxton Tish also gave a demonstration on the use of a .410 shotgun.
Club members participated in archery, pistol, rifle and shotgun disciplines during the meeting.
Refreshments were provided by advisor Patricia Ann Lang. Lelynd Eden will provide refreshments for the May meeting.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, May 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Eastern Holmes Sportsman’s Club, located on Township Road 310 in Millersburg.
