Holmes County dog warden presents information to Handy Helpers 4-H Club

                        
The Killbuck Handy Helpers 4-H Club met Wednesday, April 28, at the Killbuck firehouse with 16 members present. The meeting was called to order by Wyatt Snow, president. The pledges were led by Garrett Blake and Lyndsey Davis, and roll call was taken by Riley Wilcox, secretary. A demonstration was given by Reagan Tetreault, Holmes County dog warden. Topics covered were safety tips to avoid dog bites and aggression, how to read a dog’s body language and an explanation of rules and fines. She also explained the procedure to follow when finding a stray animal and stressed the importance of licenses and their usefulness. The club will be doing a second community project at their next meeting, planting flowers at the Killbuck VFW, and at the Killbuck Park on May 12, at 6:30 p.m. A motion was made by Lyndsey Davis to hold a bake sale May 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, in conjunction with the Killbuck Savings Bank Cruisin‘ for a Cure car show. Lyndsey made a motion to participate in the Killbuck Memorial Day Parade. Both motions were voted and approved, and the meeting was adjourned. submitted by Jeremy W. Davis
