Jim Grant to speak to Tuscarawas County Writers’ Guild
                        
Jim Grant, of New Philadelphia, author of The Gradall, A Story of American Ingenuity, will speak to the Tuscarawas County Writers’ Guild on Wednesday, Nov. 16. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts in New Philadelphia. Grant’s book details the success and development of the Gradall line of products and also presents an interesting look at its employees and the company’s contributions to the area. Grant worked for 35 years for Warner & Swasey and Gradall Industries, retiring in 2005. The 256-page book, featuring more than 250 mostly color photographs, illustrations, and charts was designed by Grant’s son, James Grant Jr. of Hudson. The public is invited to attend.
