NARFE chapter receives flag in honor of its 20th anniversary

NARFE, Wayne County Chapter 2218, held its first meeting of the year March 11. The speaker for the meeting was Lindal Vogel, from the Area Agency on Aging. She reported to the group on the different programs they have available. The chapter was reminded to bring in Our Family UPC codes, and that sandwiches would be sold on August 21. The state convention will be held April 29 to May 1, in Fairborn. It was also noted that Flo McKinney, past-Northeast District vice president, passed away in December 2009. The chapter was chartered Feb. 16, 1990, and in honor of its 20th anniversary, a flag was flown over the nation’s capitol and presented to the chapter at this meeting.
