National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Wayne County Chapter 2218, held their monthly meeting at Ryans Steak House in Wooster Nov. 8.
During the short business meeting officers for 2013 were elected and members were reminded that next months meeting would be the Christmas party and each member is to bring an unwrapped gift for a child and non-perishable food item to be delivered to People to People.
Members were also reminded that they should be contacting their representatives and letting them know their feelings on pending legislation during this lame duck session.
After the brief meeting an interesting presentation on the events leading up to the Civil War was given by Jon Ulbright.
