On Sept. 23, 10 members of TOPS OH1573 opened with the TOPS and KOPS pledges. The club had a three-and-a-half pound loss. Geneva Pringle was the best re-dedicated loser. She told members to drink plenty of water and to exercise. Bob Gerber was the best KOPS, and his advice was to continue eating slowly.The dime contest continues. Open house on Oct. 21 was discussed. Lana Rush gave a program, using information from Time Magazine, on how exercise is good but may not contribute to weight loss. She also read parts of two articles from Cooking Life. One was titled 10 Things to Know About Potatoes. The other told why fiber is necessary. The best way to get fiber is from fresh fruit and whole grains.
Next week is fruit and vegetable night. The club meets Wednesdays, with weigh-in at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting at 5:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 330-378-5362 or 330-377-4145.
