On Feb. 24, 11 members of TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with the TOPS and KOPS pledges. The club lost 14.4 pounds. Rita Sprang was their best weekly loser. She said to reward themselves when they eat healthy. Laura Weaver was their best re-dedicated loser. She told them to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Tom Alexander was their best KOPS. He said to drink plenty of water. Sprang was also their best monthly loser and Weaver their best monthly re-dedicated loser. Lana Rush was their best monthly KOPDS.
Their weight recorder won the Valentine contest. Susan Schlabauch came in second and Mary Beth Kuntz was the third place winner. Rita Sprang won the money in the piggy bank for losing the most weight in February. Next week a new spring-cleaning contest will begin. Everyone is to bring a cleaning item to begin, then bring one each time they gain.
Laura Weaver presented Meal Planning 101 as a program. She told them to plan and then buy nutritional foods to lose weight. They are: choose a plan they can live with the rest of their life and to focus on the good foods they can have, not the things they cannot have.
Next week Rita Sprang will bring a tasting food. Program will be roundtable discussion. The club meets Wednesdays with weigh-in at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting at 5:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 330-378-5362 or 330-377-4145.
