New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary Post 1445 met recently.

                        

New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary President Mary Savoie called the most recent meeting to order with 11 members, and secretary Robert Gribble called the role of officers. All were present except Chaplain JoAnn Marzi and guard Debbie Noah. The positions were pro tem/Chaplain Erma Mizer and guard Bonnie Blacka.

Judy Martin made a motion, and Nancy Stevenson seconded the motion to accept new members Christopher Lipinski and Natalie Snyder, along with transfers Karen Heavner, Dorothy Church, Susan Behm, Rebbeca May and Mary Blickensderfer. Sandra Bennett also rejoined to the auxiliary.

A sympathy card was sent to Debra Garabrant for the loss of her daughter. Ethel Quillen paid for the pizza and wrote a check to reimburse herself. Blacka made a motion, and it was seconded by Bonnie McMillan to donate $100 for school supplies to the post 1445.

The bake sale brought in $405. Savoie presented certificates for members to see that were received at the state convention.

Martin made a motion, and it was seconded by Mizer to pay the bills. The charter was draped for Marlene Kennedy, May 19, 2021; Bonnie Sprinkle, May 25, 2021; Rose Holden, May 19, 2021; and Rosalie Bennett, July 16, 2021.

Blacka won the door prize. The next meeting will be Aug. 17 at 6:15 p.m.
