A girl can dream, can’t she?

My daughter-in-law and I share a dream that requires one wins the lottery or some contest that leaves us with perhaps a sizable fortune, say a few million.
Our ideas of putting that money to use are constantly being upgraded. We would, of course, make sure all our family be relieved of any debt, plus donating to all the causes
that are in need.
Then we would get busy with our own dreams, which involve finding or building new houses or perhaps even a duplex, one side for each of us and graced with an attached garage with enough room to hold all of our gardening equipment.
Next we would each have two bedrooms and two baths, plus generous closet space for clothing, a linen closet and a closet just for junk.
Also on the list would be a comfortable-sized living room with plenty of windows to flood the room with natural light, plus a gas fireplace that can be turned on with the flip of a switch — perhaps a wall-mounted television over that fireplace.
We also would have a small dining room with comfortable chairs surrounding a round table. There will be a couple of built-in cabinets to hold the china and a few drawers for the tableware and linen. The dining room would be open to the kitchen that would be, of
course, well designed with the best modern equipment — a true meal preparer’s paradise.
The longer we dream, our plans get even better. We will have someone come to keep all those rooms clean and tidy and someone to keep our fenced yards mowed and our gardens neat and beautiful. We will have a big back porch that will allow us to sit out there,
comfortably enjoying all the beauty that surrounds us.
By the way, all of the above will be fully paid for. Beautiful, beautiful dreams, which so far are only dreams. Who knows? There is always a chance, admittedly a rare one, that those dreams could come true. And until our fortune arrives, we’ll continue dreaming.
