I enjoy a good race from start to finish

Well, Hunter Armstrong certainly did himself proud. How exciting it is to finally find the right channel on TV and watch a true winner. Being the competitive person I have always been, I particularly enjoy a good race from start to finish. Congratulations Hunter. We are so proud of you.
Someone said to me not long ago, “You certainly have a lot of trouble with your electronics.” I certainly do. I don’t attribute it to age, but rather to knowing only a certain amount and not being able to figure out the rest. My most recent bout has been with Facebook.
Someone I have tracked down to int.cashhappysquarepayO@gmail.com hacked my Facebook, sending nearly all my connections phony messages, most of which seemed harmless enough but confused those with whom I am in touch frequently. One was a total bother, a huge list of items I supposedly had for sale including such things as tractors and refrigerators. I began receiving texts and calls from people interested in buying.
Then I wasn’t able to get on FB at all, causing me great panic because I have hundreds of pictures and messages I want to keep. It is the way I get photos of my great-grands and of the families of my student friends.
At first I tried to work through Facebook. There is no help. There is no support, and every time you try to contact someone, you get a different message. The best one was when I tried to contact Facebook technical support and the message said, “You are doing something illegal and annoying people.” Honest, that’s what it said.
Next, I tried my smarter and wiser than I am friends who spent their time and efforts trying to help me out. Nothing actually worked. That precipitated a huge list of “helpers” who promised to solve the problem. Thank goodness I was told by reliable friends not to turn to those, as they are scammers too.
Finally, by stabbing in the dark, I ran across a site that listed my accounts and suggested I get rid of any that weren’t mine, and there I found int.cashhappysquarepayO@gmail.com. I erased him or her and got my Facebook back.
Besides the fear of losing precious memories, time, for me, is of the essence. My friends and I wasted hours trying to fix the problem, just because someone who has nothing better to do chose to ruin our valuable time. I hope one day these people will be brought to justice.
One last complaint for today: Have you noticed that now, on the news, you are sometimes basically given a headline and then told that if you want to know more, you need to go to such and such a site on the internet. As a journalist I am a news junkie. I want the whole story, and I want my news station to give it to me. Sigh, the times they are a changin’.
