A love song to our Creator

A love song to our Creator

I love singing. Now, mind you, I’m not great at it, but I love it. I enjoy the thought of my singing being praise to the Creator of the world and lifting up words that mean something to the universe. Recently, our church, New Pointe Community, had something called Night of Praise. The whole evening was singing with some scripture added into the evening as well. We sang a song that I have been turning in my head ever since. I looked it up online, watched videos of the people who wrote it and I love the message and story behind the song. One of the writers, Jason Ingram, talked in a video about how his fellow writer Reuben Morgan talks of this song as a confession. Basically confessing to God all that He is in light of all that we are and are not. I encourage you to read over the lyrics. And in whatever place you are in to read this as a love letter to God. It is so lovely and true. May His Light reign forever in your lives. Forever Reign You are good, You are good When there’s nothing good in me You are love, You are love On display for all to see You are light, You are light When the darkness closes in You are hope, You are hope You have covered all my sin You are peace, You are peace When my fear is crippling You are true, You are true Even in my wandering You are joy, You are joy You’re the reason that I sing You are life, You are life, In You death has lost it’s sting Oh, I’m running to Your arms, I’m running to arms The riches of Your love Will always be enough Nothing compares to Your embrace Light of the world forever reign You are more, You are more Than my words will ever say You are Lord, You are Lord All creation will proclaim You are here, You are here In Your presence I’m made whole You are God, You are God Of all else I’m letting go Oh, I’m running to Your arms I’m running to Your arms The riches of Your love Will always be enough Nothing compares to Your embrace Light of the world forever reign My heart will sing no other Name Jesus, Jesus Oh, I’m running to Your arms I’m running to Your arms The riches of Your love Will always be enough Nothing compares to Your embrace Light of the world forever reign Stik a Fork into singing, proclaiming God for who He is and believing in His light.
