Hello everyone! Are you ready to plant a new flower garden? Well, if you’re not, you may change your mind after looking through this magnificent book of beautiful gardens.

Remember, I chose this book for new ideas that I can adapt in my own yard. You will tour six continents so you too can make your own plans to fit your needs. I read this on page 53 and found it quite interesting; Teach the parents, and they will teach the children. When I was growing up, we planted flowers around our house and that was all. I really didn’t learn much about plants and flowers until I became an adult. I think what they are saying makes a lot of sense. When we learn something at a young age, we take that knowledge along to our adulthood.

The gentleman who put this book together is from England. He was director and chief designer of Chanticleer Garden for twenty years. I like the way he thinks about what a garden means. Beauty, nature, plants and people, nativity, and urbanization. Botanical gardens and private and public gardens are taking steps to care for the rare finds in plants and flowers. Modern gardeners can also learn an immense amount from traditional practices. Christopher Woods also reveals the engaging people, plants, and stories that make these gardens so wonderful.

Until next time, create your own space and make it you!

Christopher Woods fell in love with plants at a very young age. Every autumn he and his father would walk for miles picking mushrooms in the morning and blackberries in the afternoon. He ate his full share along the way. The contents of his book are as follows: North America, Central America and The Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa and The Arabian Peninsula, India and Southeast Asia, Asia, and Australia and New Zealand.

Striking photographs highlight each garden setting. This book gives your mind a place to roam and dream. And with time, you just may turn your own yard into a thing of beauty.
