Included in today’s home-delivered issue of The Holmes County Bargain Hunter is an Agriculture and Natural Resources Needs Assessment for Ohio State University Extension in Holmes County. The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into how our office can better serve the needs of the agriculture and natural resources community in Holmes County. Our local community input is very valuable to us and will help us plan future events and programs accordingly.
We want to be sure we are developing a job description based on what the community wants and needs, as well as what the university requires. We are asking our Holmes County community for your feedback.
If you have a yard, garden, flower bed, animals of any kind, hobby farm or large farm; raise crops; or have a pond, property to manage and so many other things, then fill out the survey and help us. Completion of the survey is voluntary, and all responses will remain anonymous. Surveys can be mailed or dropped off to our office at the address on the bottom of the form, and there is an outside drop box for after-hours submissions. As we await the hire of a new agriculture and natural resources educator, we encourage you to continue to contact our office for your agriculture and natural resource inquiries. Through the statewide network of OSU Extension educators, specialists, teams and Master Gardener volunteers, we will still get you contacts and answers. Master gardeners

Ask Extension is an online system for asking questions and receiving expert answers quickly on a broad range of subjects. You may submit a question here to be answered by members of our Ohio State University Extension faculty/staff.
Ohioline
Through Ohioline you have access to the hundreds of fact sheets, bulletins and other educational materials covering a wide array of subjects beyond agriculture and natural resources including family and consumer sciences, community development, 4-H, and youth.
Bee Lab
The Ohio State University’s Bee Lab provides research and outreach related to honey bees, wild bees and other pollinators. This site includes an Ohio bee identification chart, educational opportunities for beekeepers, and the latest research and information related to bees.
C. Wayne Ellet Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic
Located at the Wooster campus, The C. Wayne Ellet Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic is a diagnostic facility specializing in the identification of plant diseases, plant health issues and insect-related problems. The clinic offers a broad spectrum of low-cost testing for residential and commercial clients to identify pests and cultural/environmental-related plant health issues.
