Area Catholic schools accepting applications
The Tuscarawas County Catholic Schools are now accepting applications for enrollment for the 2020-21 school year.
Immaculate Conception School in Dennison and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School in Dover offer classes from preschool through sixth grade. Tuscarawas Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School houses grade 7-12.
Enrollment applications are available at each of the schools.
“We encourage early registration, especially for our preschool, prekindergarten and kindergarten classes that can reach capacity very quickly,” elementary school principal Matt Ritzert said.
School officials say parents and students interested in the schools are welcome to call and arrange a visit anytime.
“We welcome the opportunity to visit with families and help them learn more about our schools including the academic program, co-curricular opportunities and our family-oriented, welcoming atmosphere,” high school principal Jennifer Calvo said.
Ritzert and Calvo said the schools have a variety of local and state scholarships available to help families concerned about the cost of tuition.
“Our tuition rates are among the lowest in the state and are far below the actual cost of educating each student,” Ritzert said.
