Area students receive scholarships
Eight area students were awarded scholarships by the Tuscarawas County Retired Teachers group. To qualify, recipients have to be a child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a member of the association.

Justin Merrick will receive the Jane and Bill Jabs Scholarship. He will attend Ohio Northern University, majoring in pharmacy. He is the grandson of Roger Merrick.
Cassidy Dobbins will attend Muskingum University, majoring in early childhood education/special education. She is the granddaughter of Harold George.
Mallory Wire will attend Lipscomb University and major in psychology/social work. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn and Dennis Wire.
Delaney McConaha will attend Kent State University and major in biology/molecular/cellular. She is the granddaughter of Russel Dean.
Jaelle Olivia Lindon is currently attending Urbana University, majoring in math education. She is the niece of Penny Suttle.
Ezekiel Misko currently attends Kent State University, majoring in public health/promotion and education. He is the grandson of Leo and Pat Boron.
Elissa Murphy will attend Ohio State University and major in East Asian studies. She is the granddaughter of Barb Murphy.
Drew Sexton will attend the University of Cincinnati, majoring in accounting. He is the grandson of Berry Wherley.
