AultCare presents 12 team spirit scholarships to high school seniors

                        
Recognizing the spirit of the future through the spirit of leadership, teamwork and academic excellence, AultCare is honoring a dozen high school seniors with a $2,000 AultCare Team Spirit Scholarship Award.

The top 12 applicants from Carroll, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties were chosen from a pool of 195 applicants based on three areas: school and community involvement; need for financial assistance; and an essay about why they believe themselves to be a team player.

All applicants were required to be pursing a two- or four-year degree at an accredited school, have a 2.5 or greater GPA; and participated in school or community programs.

The scholarship recipients for Tuscarawas County include: Andrew Bache, Dover High School, Accounting, Grove City College; Alexys Long, Newcomerstown High School, Nursing, Mount Vernon Nazarene University; Marcus Mamarella, Dover High School, Accounting, The Ohio State University or West Virginia University; Kristen Stiles, Indian Valley High School, Early Childhood Education, Ashland University or Kent State University.

Wayne County recipients include: Alyssa Horst, Smithville High School, Fine Arts\Art Education, Kent State University or Hesston College; Rachel Myers, Wooster High School, English and Political Science, Undecided; Kelsey Streb, Dalton High School, Pre-Med, OSU or University of Toledo.

Since establishing the program in 2002, AultCare has awarded more than 130 scholarships to local teens totaling more than $135,000.
