Over 30 HOSA Future Health Professionals members will represent Buckeye Career Center at the upcoming state leadership conference following success at regionals.

                        

Over 30 HOSA Future Health Professionals members will represent Buckeye Career Center at the upcoming state leadership conference following success at regionals. The regional competition, held at Buckeye Career Center, featured 46 BCC medical students, with 35 of those students advancing to the state level.

First-place recipients include Kamree Lindon (intro to nursing/Indian Valley) in clinical nursing; Brooklyn Hall (intro to nursing/Newcomerstown) in home health aide; Emily Sandy (intro to nursing/New Philadelphia) in nursing assisting; Elexus Warner (intro to nursing/QDA) in personal care; Kierra Shotwell (pharmacy technician/New Philadelphia) in pharmacy science; Erika Kugler (exercise science/New Philadelphia) in life support skills; the team of Lauren Ferguson (intro to nursing/Claymont), Burton Dotts (intro to nursing/Indian Valley) and Hannah Grasselli (intro to nursing/Dover) in community awareness; and the team of Jordyn Braun (exercise science/Conotton Valley), Isabel Grove (intro to nursing/Newcomerstown), Hannah Thomas (intro to nursing/Indian Valley) and Chloe Stuber (exercise science/Conotton Valley) in HOSA Bowl team.

Second-place recipients include Jessica Perez-Raymundo (medical assisting/Dover) in medical terminology; Cameron Enos (exercise science/Indian Valley) in pathophysiology; Julianne Tzip Jose (medical assisting/New Philadelphia) in home health aide; Dawson Harvey (intro to nursing/Newcomerstown) in health career photography; Katelyn Brown (exercise science/Hiland) in research poster; the team of Nevaeh Courtney (pharmacy technician/New Philadelphia), Althea Dotts (pharmacy technician/Indian Valley) and Calleigh Trussell (pharmacy technician/Carrollton) in community awareness; the team of Reagan Eberhardt (intro to nursing/Strasburg), Hailey Hoover (intro to nursing/Ridgewood), Bella Howell (intro to nursing/QDA) and Kallie Mehok (intro to nursing/New Philadelphia) in medical innovation; Estela Mejia Sica (exercise science/Dover) in sports medicine; and Austin Gump (exercise science/Dover) in interviewing skills.

Third-place winners include Cassidy Green (exercise science/TCC) in job seeking skills; Calvin Jarvis (exercise science/Carrollton) in pathophysiology; and the HOSA Bowl team of Gracy Martin (exercise science/New Philadelphia), Naomi McCreery (exercise science/Tusky Valley), Ashlee Robles (exercise science/Dover) and Luke Tucker (exercise science/Strasburg).

Fourth-place winners include Kolton Shuman (intro to nursing/Carrollton) in behavioral health and Makaylyn Lendon (exercise science/Indian Valley) in sports medicine.

These students will compete at the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Columbus March 16-17.
