In response to the COVID-19 health pandemic, Buckeye Career Center is announcing the school will remain in a blended learning model, for two additional weeks, through Oct. 23. School began in August in the blended learning model and was expected to remain that way through Oct. 9 or until re-evaluated.

The blended learning model features instruction through in-person and remote learning each week.

Students are expected to participate in remote academic learning on the days they are not in-person at school. “We feel this is the best model as we strive to maintain our social distance and provide a safe environment for our students and staff,” said BCC Superintendent Bob Alsept. “We continue to monitor the health of our students and staff, as well as, the health of our partner schools,” he said. Adult Education full-time, EMS/Fire, and apprenticeships will remain as scheduled. At this time, customer service operations are still closed to the public.

According to Alsept, nearly 75% of the career and technical centers in Ohio are using a similar blending learning model. Anyone with questions should contact Buckeye Career Center at 330-339-2288 or visit the website at www.BuckeyeCareerCenter.org.
