The County Commissioners Association Research and Educational Foundation has released the 2024 Ohio Counties Scholarship information. Throughout the state one scholarship will be offered to a student in each district — Central, Southwest, Southeast, Northwest and Northeast — for students planning a career in public service. The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the student when the CCAO office has received confirmation of attendance at a university, community college, training program or vocational school.

“Last year the foundation had over 100 applicants from 53 of Ohio’s 88 counties,” CCAO Executive Director Cheryl Subler said. “This scholarship invests in one of Ohio’s most important assets — our youth.”

Scholarships are crucial in helping students unlock opportunities, pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. They provide financial assistance, which can make a significant difference in the lives of students who may not have been able to afford a college education otherwise.
