Claymont Foundation has announced scholarship winners

The Claymont Foundation recently announced the winners of the 2010 scholarships totaling $29,775. Taylor Birney was awarded a $2,500 Scott and Jenifer Luikart scholarship. Taylor is the daughter of Scott and Patty Birney and plans to attend Mount Union College and major in biology. Elliot Lint was awarded a $2,500 Scott and Jenifer Luikart scholarship. Elliot is the son of Rob and Beth Lint and plans to attend The Ohio State University to major in computer engineering. Tiffany Kneuss is the daughter of Marc and Jane Kneuss. Tiffany received a $2,000 Scott and Jenifer Luikart scholarship. She will attend Ohio Northern and major in pharmacy. Jordan Smith is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda Smith. Jordan plans to attend Ohio University to major in education. Jordan received a $2,000 Scott and Jenifer Luikart scholarship. Aaron Cox received a $2,000 Robert McCullough Memorial Scholarship. Aaron is the son of Dallas and Sharon Cox and plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in environmental engineering. Holly Wise is the daughter of Robert and Connie Wise. Holly plans to attend Waynesburg University and major in forensic science. She received a $1,000 Uhrichsville Alumni Stilgenbaurer Memorial and a $500 Don and Helen Wright scholarship. Kayleigh Larson received a $1,000 Ted and Carol Gram Memorial Scholarship. Kayleigh is the daughter of Dale Larson and Kelly and Lisa Abbuhl. She plans to attend the University of Akron and major in nursing. Austa Pearch was awarded the $1,000 Marie Hillyer Memorial Scholarship, chosen by the high school principal based on leadership abilities. Austa is the daughter of J. and Juliann Pearch and plans to attend Ashland, Malone or Muskingum and major in education. Kees Edwards is the son of Kene and Crystal Edwards. He plans to majoring in a computer-related field at Ashland University. Kees received a $1,000 Cliff Pocock Memorial Scholarship. Jessica Bandsuh is the daughter of Thomas and Christine Bandsuh. Jessica will attend the University of Akron to major in business. She received a $1,000 Brainerd Memorial Scholarship, in memory of Anna Russell Smith and Russell Brainerd Durmann. Sam VanFossen is the son of Lorne and Corrina VanFossen. Sam received a $1,000 renewable Dave Adams Memorial Scholarship and plans to attend Belmont University to major in commercial music. James Schreck is the son of James Schreck and Tina Schreck. James plans to attend the University of Akron and major in music education. He received a $1,000 renewable Dave Adams Memorial Scholarship. Caitlyn Miskimen is the daughter of Mark and Marla Miskimen. She plans to attend Ashland University and major in education. Caitlyn received a $1,000 Macel Maxwell Memorial Scholarship. Miranda Hicks is the daughter of Scott and Sheri Hicks. She plans to attend Kent State Tuscarawas and major in nursing. Miranda was awarded the $1,000 Uhrichsville Alumni Stilgenbaurer Memorial scholarship. Lacey Turnbull is the daughter of Ronald and Dawn Turnbull. Lacey plans to attend Mount Union College and major in special education. Lacey was awarded the $500 Pete Wolfe and $500 Sam Shimp memorial scholarships. Chris Bullock was awarded a $500 Class of 1956 and a $500 Sam and Jean Romig Memorial Scholarship. Chris is the son of Amy Oberlin. Chris plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in math and science. Brittany Williams is the daughter of Steve Morris and Karen Williams. Brittany plans to attend Ohio University and major in physical therapy. She received a $500 Truck Sales and Service and a $500 Truck Sales Leasing scholarship. Katelyn Walk received $750 Robert Bucky Lint and $100 Richard Dorland memorial scholarships. Katelyn is the daughter of Kris Walk and plans to attend West Liberty University and major in dental hygiene. Machi McGuire is the son of Craig and Michelle McGuire. Machi was awarded a $500 Uhrichsville Alumni Stilgenbaurer Memorial Scholarship. Machi plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in mechanical engineering. PegAnn Roberts was awarded a $500 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship. PegAnn is the daughter of Anthony Roberts. She plans to attend Urbana University and major in allied health. Brenda Sears is the daughter of Randy Sears Sr. and Deborah Cunningham. Brenda plans to attend Kent State University and major in early childhood education. Brenda will receive a $500 Quest Club scholarship. Morgan Wise is the daughter of Dave and Angie Clelland. Morgan received a $500 First National Bank scholarship. She plans to attend the University of Akron and major in accounting. Cory Dotts received a $500 Claymont Foundation scholarship. Cory plans to attend Heidelberg College and major in education. Nichelle Edwards is the daughter of Warne and Teri Edwards. Nichelle plans to attend Kent State Tuscarawas and major in early childhood education. She received a $500 John Harstine Memorial Scholarship. Lisa Carpenter is the daughter of Ronald and Theresa Coombs. She plans to attend West Liberty University and major in education. Lisa received a $425 Joel Ribo Memorial Scholarship. Included in the awards are two continuing $1,000 Dave Adams Memorial Scholarships. Stephen Tripp was awarded a fourth-year scholarship to continue his music studies at Akron University. Nathan Barker was awarded a second-year scholarship to continue studies at Kentucky Christian University.
