Empowering and delegating leadership program coming to KSU Tusc

Leadership Through Developing, Empowering and Delegating will be offered March 15, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kent State University at Tuscarawas in the Science and Advanced Technology Center. Andy Masters, an award-winning author and international speaker, will present the program. Designed for all levels of leadership, the presentation is based on Masters’ book, Things Leaders Say: A Daily Guide to Help Every Leader Empower & Inspire. The program will address what organizations should do to develop, empower and delegate to its employees—and how to avoid damaging impacts of organizations that don’t. It will illustrate the benefits of delegating to avoid ineffective use of human resources, employee burnout, turnover and rising health care costs–not to mention taking time and attention away from the most important projects and responsibilities. The program is sponsored by Allied Machine & Engineering Corp., deflect-o, Dover Chemical Corporation, First Federal Community Bank, Leadership Tuscarawas, Kent State Tuscarawas, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, TuscoraSHRM, Ohio Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Administration and Zimmer Surgical. Pre-registration is required by March 14 and can be made by contacting the Small Business Development Center at 330-308-7522 or by email at dmspence@kent.edu. Cost is $50 per person, and includes a continental breakfast. The first 100 paid registrants will receive a free, signed copy of Masters’ book, courtesy of Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. Participants can earn 4.0 SPHR CEU’s. The Kent State University Tuscarawas campus is located at 330 University Drive, NE, in New Philadelphia.
