Lego Club is every second Thursday of the month. The next Lego challenge will be making a balloon car.

                        

The Dover Public Library Children’s Department has a variety of activities planned for February. Kicking off the month on Saturday, Feb. 3 is Take Your Child to the Library Day. The children’s department will offer free popcorn and drinks all day and areas for board games and crafts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the library offers story times for kids with a craft being offered at the 1:30 p.m. story time.

Lego Club is every second Thursday of the month. On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m., the Lego challenge will be making a balloon car.

The second Play-Doh play date will be Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10:30 a.m. Kids can create different items led by Ms. Chris.

Book clubs will resume for age 5-12. Book Club will begin for age 8-12 on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and for age 5-7 on Tuesday, Feb. 27. No registration is required for any of these programs.

Dragon Card Tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Kids earn dragon cards by reading and tracking their reading minutes on a tracker given by the library. They are encouraged to bring their cards with them to the tournament, where they will play other kids in a rock, paper, scissors type of game. No one will lose their cards but will keep track of wins and losses on tally paper. There will be prizes awarded, dragon cookies to decorate and eat and more. Registration is required for this program.
