FFA members participate in District 8 trap shoot

On Oct. 30, the West Holmes FFA chapter sent six members to the District 8 trap shoot, which was held at Bethesda Sportsmen’s Club and sponsored by the Union Local FFA Alumni. The members that competed were Ryan Sowers, Chris Patterson, Corey Phillips, Derek Reutter, Brandon Bowles, and Travis Campbell. The team placed seventh in the district. Each member had a chance to shoot in two rounds on 25 clays thrown from a variety of positions. The team scored a 144 total. Advisor Jaime Chenevey also participated in the competition.
