Free family movie at The University of Akron Wayne College: Lincoln

The public is invited to The University of Akron Wayne College for a free showing of the PG-13 movie Lincoln on Friday, March 22 from 7-9 p.m. in the Smucker Multi-Purpose Room of the Student Life Building. As the Civil War continues to rage, America’s president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves. This film chronicles the president’s time in office between 1861 and 1865 as he dealt with personal demons and politics during the Civil War. Popcorn and other refreshments will be on sale with proceeds benefitting student groups on campus. The college is located at 1901 Smucker Road, Orrville.
