Free summer camps offered at county library branches
Books are not the only offerings at the Tuscarawas County Public Library System. The county library will host a variety of free summer camps to be held across its five locations throughout the summer months. The camps, which will provide hands-on learning for all ages, will cover a variety of topics and run at various times throughout the summer months.
“During the summer it’s a great time to learn a new skill and explore topics by attending day camps,” library director Michelle McMorrow Ramsell said. “This summer the county library will be offering some fun and informative camps for the community to enjoy.”
Attendees will be able to participate in special programs and explore subjects like science, space, art, technology, food and more. The camps, which vary in length from one day to a series, are for a variety of ages from kindergarten through 12th grade.
“An aspect that sets apart the county library camps is that they are free. Camps can be expensive, especially when more than one member of the family wants to attend a camp,” Ramsell said. “The camps offered at our library system are not only fun and informative, but there is also no cost to attend.”
A complete listing of camps being offered this summer can be found in the library’s Between the Lines programming guide, which is available at each of the five library locations or on the library’s website at www.tusclibrary.org.
Registration for summer camps can be completed online by visiting the library’s event calendar at www.tusclibrary.org, by stopping into one of the county library system’s five locations or by calling one of the county library system’s five locations.
