Carly Gallagher, a student at The University of Akron, is this years recipient of The Lamplighters Annual Memorial Scholarship award in the amount of $2,000. Gallagher is studying to be an art teacher and has been on the deans list two years in a row. She is the daughter of Tom and Barb Gallagher of Apple Creek.
From its inception in 1947 the Lamplighters have encouraged further education through their scholarship fund. The scholarship is available to family of any member. Anyone interested may inquire at the club for scholarship information and an application.
