Wooster kindergarten registration underway
Wooster City Schools kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year officially opened March 1. If your child will be age 5 on or before Aug. 1, now is the time to start planning for this milestone.
The district asks all parents to create an account on Final Forms to begin the registration process. After completing Final Forms, parents need to schedule a 20-minute in-person appointment.
Appointments are available April 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parents can schedule these appointments on the Wooster City Schools website at www.woostercityschools.org/students-families/enrollment or call the registrar at 330-988-1111 ext. 1241.
Parents and guardians must bring the following documents to their registration appointment and/or upload them to Final Forms:
—Parent/guardian photo ID: Proof of identity is required.
—Proof of residence: Examples include a utility bill or lease agreement.
—Child’s birth certificate: Official documentation verifying your child’s date of birth.
—Immunization record.
Kindergarten screening appointments are designed to assess a child’s readiness for school by evaluating their developmental and academic skills. During the appointment children will participate in various activities including hearing and vision screenings and speech and language assessments.
Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to meet with the school secretary to learn more about the elementary school, submit any missing forms and ask questions. Each child will receive a book and a goodie bag as part of the celebration. If your child has any special needs and requires a sensory-friendly appointment, call the registrar to schedule.
