Kent State Tuscarawas offering Ohio tax update seminar

                        
Kent State University Tuscarawas and the Ohio Mid-Eastern Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants are co-sponsoring a workshop, Ohio State Tax Update, on Friday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Kent State Tuscarawas. Presented by Bill G. Nolan, executive director of Ernst & Young’s Northeast Ohio office, this continuing education seminar will address Ohio’s tax reform plan by examining commercial activity tax, income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax and multi-state topics of interest. Attendees can earn 4.0 CPE credit hours or .4 continuing education units (CEUs). Nolan provides multi-state tax advisory services to clients in the manufacturing, financial services, retailing and transportation industries. He has been with Ernst & Young since 1999 and has assisted clients with restructuring, audits and appeals, refund reviews and other issues covering all state taxes. Nolan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is a CMI (Sales and Use Tax) of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. The workshop fee is $35 for members of the Institute of Management Accountants, $50 for non-members and $20 for students.
