The seniors in the Wooster High School band program took their final curtain call as the Wooster High School music department presented its spring band concert on May 5, at the Wooster High School Performing Arts Center.

Under the direction of Dan Adams and Doug Bennett, the 150-plus student musicians who take part in the highly successful instrumental music program performed a wide variety of music ranging from selection from the animated movie The Incredibles to the classic favorite Bugler’s Holiday.

Included in the concert were performances by the freshman band, concert band and symphonic band, who concluded the program with An American Elegy, a piece commissioned by Frank Ticheli as a tribute to the students who lost their lives at Columbine High School in 1999.

This year, the Wooster celebrates 100 years of instrumental music in the district.
