Thespians to perform 'An Evening of One Acts'
The Dover High School Thespians will kick off the 2017-18 school year with “An Evening of One Acts.” Three different 30-minute scripts will be performed at Dover High School at 520 N. Walnut St. in Dover.
The first, titled “Tracks” by Peter Tarsi, is a drama about a group of strangers trapped in a subway station. The second, a comedy-drama titled “Our Place” by Terry Gabbard, presents a collection of scenes that all occur in the same unique setting. The final script, “The Perfect Ending” by B. Dwayne Craft, is a comedy about a quintessential 1950s family that is dealing with the end of the world.
Included in the casts are seniors Robbie Kaser, Victoria Adams, Garret Davis, Shay Gautier, Sarah Smith, Drew Sexton, Natalie Bond, Tanner Amos, Nathan Bond, Cassie Benamati, Lane Moore, Tim Smith, Emma Hamm, Sydney Mowrer, Lexi Kohler, Damian Page and Katie Armstrong; juniors Emily Ivory, Carlo Capozella, Cameron Johnson, Drew Palmatier, Zoe Korns and Alexis Ross;
Sophomores Kennedy Hale, Jillian Galambos, Ryder Paris, Isabella Palkowitsh, Noah Morris, Dylan DeMonte, Will Haverfield, Erin Smith, Toni Denmark, Aly Bauer and Delaney Niklaus; and freshmen Brody Morris, Rachel Ress, Cory Mears, Elaina Garrett, Meah Prettyman, Sara Hohman, Sawyer Niklaus, Calista Coletti, Addison Gautier, Blake Sexton, Hanah Galbraith, Nina Miller, Carlos Fernandez, Samuel Worst and Justin Page.
The production is being directed by Tom Morris, and Larry Sams is technical director. “An Evening of One Acts” will be performed Thursday, Nov. 9; Friday, Nov. 10; and Saturday, Nov. 11 with curtain time at 7 p.m. All tickets are general admission and are $5.
