Tuscarawas County Catholic Schools to hold open houses
The Tuscarawas County Catholic Schools will hold a series of open house celebrations to give parents and students a chance to learn more about the schools and kick off registration for the 2018-19 school year.
“The events are open to the public and are designed to give visitors an opportunity to meet our students and teachers and to learn more about what we can offer families seeking a loving, supportive and faith-filled environment,” said Matt Ritzert, principal of Immaculate Conception School in Dennison and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School in Dover. “We are open to all, offer affordable tuition rates and provide a variety of financial assistance programs.”
Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School will hold its open house on Sunday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day also will include a spaghetti dinner and book fair.
At Immaculate Conception School, the open house, spaghetti dinner and book fair will be Sunday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuscarawas Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School will have an open house on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 4-6 p.m. before the Saints’ boys basketball game against Strasburg.
“We will have information about all three schools at each open house, so visitors are welcome to come at any time that’s convenient,” said TCC Junior/Senior High School principal Sarah Sciarretti. “Current families, alumni and anyone interested in exploring our programs are encouraged to come and see what we’re about. We’re small, and that means we can give kids the attention they need to succeed, not only in the classroom, but in extra-curriculars as well. Our students don’t get lost in the crowd.”
Immaculate Conception and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary have programs from preschool through grade six. Tuscarawas Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School houses grade seven through 12.
The open houses will kick off registration for the next school year including the preschool and prekindergarten programs, which can fill up quickly. More information about the schools is available at www.be-a-saint.org.
