Tuscarawas County Democrat Women to offer three scholarships

The Tuscarawas County Democrat Women will offer three scholarships to Tuscarawas County residents.
The first scholarship, the Tuscarawas County Democrat Women Scholarship for $500, will be presented to a high school senior who plans to attend an accredited post-secondary school. The recipient will be selected based upon involvement in the Democrat Party, financial need, scholastic achievement, school activities, community activities, written recommendations and an essay.
The second scholarship is the Lisa Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship for $500, which will be awarded to a registered Democrat who attends an accredited post-secondary school. The recipient will be selected based upon their involvement in the Democratic Party, references and a written essay.
The third scholarship is the Mature Female Student Scholarship of $500, which will be awarded to a woman 35 years of age or older who attends an accredited post-secondary school. The recipient will be selected based upon involvement in the Democratic Party, need and a written essay.

Application deadline is March 20.
