WCSCC names Lynn Moomaw new superintendent
The Wayne County Schools Career Center Board of Education recently announced the appointment of Lynn Moomaw as the new superintendent, effective Aug. 1. This decision follows an extensive search and multiple interviews guided by Tri-County Educational Service Center to find a successor for Dr. Kip Crain, who will retire July 31.
Moomaw has demonstrated strong leadership skills through her various roles and projects at the WCSCC. Her passion for Career Tech Education, Wayne County and her significant community involvement will continue to be an asset to the WCSCC team. She is relationship-focused and has innovative ideas to build on the meaningful and productive work already in place at the WCSCC.
The board extended gratitude to Dr. Crain for his 22 years of dedicated service to the WCSCC. His lasting impact is evident through numerous student achievements, robust business collaborations and exceptional staff performance.
