West Holmes FFA food science team places fifth in district

                        
On Nov. 9, the West Holmes food science team of Kelsie Hoover, Kristi Crabb, Maggie Raber, and Samantha Krejci placed fifth in the district, which was held at Tri-Valley High School. The members had to take a written test, participate in a taste test and aroma test, identify quality control problems, handle a customer complaint letter, and participate in a product development activity. Individually, Crabb was ninth, Hoover was 14th, Krejci was 17th, and Raber was 21st.
