WH BOE approves Molnar as head softball coach
                        

The West Holmes Local Schools Board of Education met Monday, Nov. 18 at Lakeville Elementary for a regular meeting.

The board did the following during the meeting:

—Approval stipends for teachers who have completed Ohio’s Science of Reading required professional development. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce committed to reimbursing the stipend amounts for each teacher.

—Approved the hiring of Courtney Shaffer for trainer services as needed.

—Approved a supplemental position for Michael Molnar, varsity softball head coach.

—Approved the following as substitute teachers: Gracie Shreve, Nashville/Lakeville, effective Nov. 6; Kaili Maltarich, effective Nov. 13; and Doralice Smith, effective Nov. 13.

—Approved the following as volunteers: Rick Elliott, robotics competition, pending a background check; Rebecca Elliott, robotics competition, pending a background check; and Bud Yoder, middle school boys basketball.

Other information

Lakeville Elementary Principal Brian Zimmerly recognized fourth-grade students Ryan Goudy, Tobias Obrst, Wayne Sigler and Lane Skolmutch for perfect state testing math scores.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Dec. 16 at West Holmes High School.
