Family Connect event provides activities for children and parents
The Ohio State University Extension will hold their March Family Connect event at Karams Martial Arts in New Philadelphia Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m.
The Family Connect events have been a great way for families to spend quality time together, having fun and connecting. The events really seek to build families in positive ways, said Christine Kendle, FCS educator at OSU Extension Tuscarawas County.
The evening will include interactive games and activities for families.
This Family Connect event is open to children in preschool through fifth grade and their parents or caregivers. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
In addition to fun activities for parents and children led by the Karams Martial Arts staff, a light evening meal, resources for parents, and a book for each child will be provided.
The events are free and open to the public; however, registration is required and space is limited. Contact OSU Extension Tuscarawas County at 330-339-2337 or email kendle.4@osu.edu to register.
This night of family fun as well as other parenting programs offered through OSU Extension Tuscarawas County are made possible through the Ohio Childrens Trust Fund.
Karams Martial Arts is located at 1127 Front Ave. SW in New Philadelphia.
