8 West Holmes athletes earn All-OCC honors
The Ohio Cardinal Conference released its all-conference baseball and softball teams, and West Holmes had several players named to the teams.
Baseball
Manny Camacho and Brock Gallion were first-team picks. Jefferson Yoder and Morgan Smith earned honorable mention accolades.
Wooster senior Brady Bowen was named Pitcher of the Year, Ashland senior Michael Franz was tabbed Player of the Year and Wooster’s Steve Young was selected Coach of the Year.
Softball
Zalina Proper was a first-team choice, Briar Cline was a second-team selection, and Gabby Fowler and Emma Miller received honorable mention accolades.
Madison freshman Caliyah Clapper was picked Pitcher of the Year, Lexington senior Makaree Chapman was named Player of the Year and Madison’s Tim Niswander was selected Coach of the Year.
