Adventures of family research at library
Come to the Wayne County Main Library in Wooster on Thursday, Oct. 17 as Dave and Ann Tschantz of Smithville share stories of adventures they’ve experienced while researching their families. The free program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
If you think research is all done in a quiet and dreary library, think again. Dave and Ann Tschantz have found information in some interesting places. You never know what you might find when you visit an antique shop, historical society or a neighborhood hangout. Or maybe it’s driving through the countryside looking for something you have only seen in a photograph or stopping to search a cemetery.
Dave and Ann Tschantz have traveled to multiple states, from Alabama to Massachusetts and even visited Switzerland on their search to discover their families’ past.
For decades the Tschantzes have been solving mysteries concerning their own family histories and even helping others they’ve met along the way.
The program is sponsored by the Wooster-Wayne Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. For more information on the DAR, the Wooster-Wayne Chapter or this program, email Robbin at woowaydar@gmail.com.
