Join friends of Wayne Center for the Arts at the 2019 ARTrageous Gala on Saturday, May 18 from 7-10 p.m.

WCA is dedicated to bringing high-quality, accessible and affordable arts programming to the residents of Wayne County and the surrounding region. All proceeds from the event will support student scholarships and operating expenses for the local nonprofit.

Up to 25 percent of all students at WCA benefit from scholarship offerings generated by this event and others.

Guests can have hors d’oeuvres from City Square Steakhouse as well as an open bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. Attendees also will participate in various art activities and demonstrations, and silent auction bidding will occur throughout the evening.

Cellist Miles Richardson and the Wayne Center Ballet dance company will provide live entertainment. The night will culminate in a live auction by auctioneer Buddy Barton with offerings from local businesses, artists and cultural institutions.

Founded in 1973, WCA currently occupies the historic Walnut Street School building just southwest of downtown Wooster.

WCA provides classes in visual arts, pottery, dance, theater, music and more along with community events, performances and outreach.

Through donor and community support, WCA provides free art gallery shows year round. Recently WCA partnered with the Kennedy Center and Tri-County Educational Service Center to provide continuing education for local arts teachers and enrichment classes for students with disabilities from across Wayne and Holmes counties.

Tickets for the ARTrageous Gala, which include entertainment, food and open bar, are $60 per person. Group tickets also are available at $500 for a package of 10 tickets. All proceeds benefit WCA, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

Tickets are available online at www.wayneartscenter.org, in person at the WCA or at the door of the event.

WCA is located at 237 S. Walnut St. in Wooster.
