Berlin Harvest Fest 2021 invites entries for grand parade
Whether it’s on a tractor and hay wagon, an old automobile, a grand float or simply marching together as a group, the time to gather together and enjoy a parade is approaching.
The annual Harvest Fest Parade will take place in Berlin on Sept. 11. Since July 2003, the Holmes County Chamber and Berlin Main Street Merchants have jointly organized the parade. Harvest Fest activities include live music on the Berlin square, a rib cook-off, food vendors, sales and specials.
The Harvest Fest Parade will step off at 6 p.m. on U.S. Route 62 in front of Berlin Mennonite Church. The parade will continue west on state Route 39 and end at the Berlin Elementary School. Parade sign-in will be located across from Berlin Farmstead Restaurant. All entries must be registered no later than 5 p.m.
The parade is always filled with plenty of marching bands, fire departments, local businesses, residents and children, and anyone who wants to join in on the festivities of the grand parade is invited to participate, because the more participation, the better.
To register, complete the sign-up form that can be found at the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau on Jackson Street in Millersburg. In addition, participants can ask for the form by calling the chamber at 330-674-3975.
All entries are due by Aug. 30. If interested in renting a professional float, visit www.creativefloats.com. Call Shannon Carter at the Chamber of Commerce or email shannon@holmescountychamber.com with any questions.
