Early voting now in progress
Absentee voting is now in progress in Holmes County for the March 19 primary election.
To vote by mail, voters must apply for an absent ballot in writing using the application Form 11-A prescribed by the Ohio Secretary of State. The form is available at www.voteohio.gov or at the county board of elections office. Applications to vote by mail must be received no later than Tuesday, March 12.
Early voting in the board of elections office requires current photo identification. Current photo identification includes a driver’s license, state ID card or interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV; a U.S. passport or passport card; or a U.S. military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card or U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ID card. Any person age 17 and over who applies for and receives a state ID card from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles may receive it for free.
Early voting hours for the special election are as follows:
—Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
—Saturday, March 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
—Monday, March 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
—Tuesday, March 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
—Wednesday, March 13 through Friday, March 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
—Saturday, March 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
—Sunday, March 17 from 1-5 p.m.
There will be no early voting hours on Monday, March 18.
