Fort Henry topic at free speaker series
Alan Fitzpatrick will give a presentation on the three sieges of Fort Henry. Fitzpatrick is a founding member of Fort Henry Days.
On March 16 the Fort Laurens Free Speaker Series will make its 2019 premiere with Alan Fitzpatrick, who will give a presentation on the three sieges of Fort Henry including the siege of 1782 and the 16-year-old girl who helped save the fort.
Fitzpatrick, from Wheeling, West Virginia, is a founding member of Fort Henry Days. A graduate of Kent State University, he has written four nonfiction books about early American and frontier history.
This event is free and will be held from 11 a.m. to noon in the Fort Laurens Museum auditorium, 11067 Fort Laurens Road NW, Bolivar. No reservations are necessary.
